The Science of Cycling (CKR 17 punten)

Cycling is a complex interaction between man and machine, and so both the body and the bike need to be included in a clinical reasoning process, aimed at injury management and prevention, as well as improved performance.

Knowledge of bike set-up and movement analysis are essential for cycling assessments and the Science of Cycling will present a clinical framework to guide your practice and process. The weekend lectures will present an overview of the scientific literature related to cycling injury including; injury epidemiology, cycling kinematics, rehabilitation strategies and performance optimisation. The Physiobikefit component is the assessment of the body and the bike, is an essential ingredient to good managment of the cyclist. Accreditation for 17 points for the CKR of the KNGF.
