What is a Think Tank?
After close to a decade of teaching in higher education we know that the only way of really understanding, exploring and remembering information concerning any topic is by engaging fully in the topic. With the Think Tank we want to create a new way of sharing information.
We want to stimulate interaction between students and teachers, discussion, case solving, connecting theory with practice, and give direction for the future by exploring where the gap lies between practice and science. Learning is an ongoing process which does not confine itself to one day in a lecture room, but starts before one comes to the course and which hopefully brings more questions that will intrigue the students to study further.
Introducing a new way of sharing information: by bringing in world-class experts to you, we want to stimulate interaction between health professionals who dare to think differently, step up, and give direction to drive our profession forward. Through discussion, case solving, and connecting theory with practice, we hope to give direction for the future by exploring where the gap lies between practice and science.
Where does practice need to adapt to new science? And where does science need to catch up with practice?
