Headache is one of the most common symptoms seen in physiotherapy practice. Yet distinguishing between primary and secondary headache types requires a solid understanding of both clinical reasoning and neurophysiology.
In this advanced webinar, Dr. René Castien, PhD and manual therapy specialist, guides you through the diagnostic process according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD).
You will learn to differentiate between migraine, tension-type headache, cluster headache, and cervicogenic headache based on a structured anamnesis and physical examination.
You’ll also explore the neurophysiological relationship between neck pain and headache, focusing on the trigeminocervical complex, and evaluate which physical tests provide meaningful diagnostic value.
