Built to Last: Acute and Recurrent Soft Tissue Injury Rehabilitation
This intensive two-day course offers a comprehensive approach to managing lower limb soft tissue injuries. Day 1 is dedicated to hamstring injury rehabilitation, while Day 2 broadens the focus to apply these principles to other lower limb injuries, including calf, adductor, and quadriceps injuries.
Participants will gain a structured framework for assessing underlying pathology and functional deficits, enabling them to create tailored rehabilitation plans specific to the injury and it’s likely causes. These plans aim to optimise recovery, enhance athletic capabilities, and minimise recurrence risks.
Combining evidence-based theory with hands-on practice, this course equips attendees with practical tools for immediate application in their work with athletes.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify injury specifics: Understand detailed anatomy and injury locations using the latest evidence to inform rehabilitation planning and decision-making.
- Link pathology to progression: Recognise how injury pathology influences exercise progression and periodisation to optimise recovery and performance.
- Refine assessment strategies: Implement targeted assessment methods tailored to the specific structure affected and the unique needs of the athlete.
- Master exercise execution: Improve exercise selection, coaching techniques, and athlete cueing for optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
