Paul Venner is a highly sought-after expert in human movement. He employs an ecological and integrated approach to training for movement optimization. He is particularly interested in the relationships between motor control, learning, training transfer, and the role of dynamic stability.
Paul Venner earned his BSc. at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in 2010, where he studied under Frans Bosch, with whom he subsequently collaborated for over 10 years during courses and consultancy work. He obtained his MSc. in Strength & Conditioning from St. Mary's University, Twickenham, London in 2016. His first experiences as a Strength & Conditioning coach were at the Olympic Institute in Sydney (NSWIS) in 2010, after which he worked for 5 years as an S&C coach at NOC*NSF with various Olympic and talent programs, including swimming, women's football, and baseball. Paul Venner then spent 8 years as Athletic Performance Director for the Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation, traveling the world for courses and consultancy.
In his quest for movement optimization, he has developed various training materials since 2011, such as the Aquabags, Aquaballs, and Hydrovest. For his latest innovation, he won the National Sportinnovator Award in 2016 and obtained a global patent. He sold the total concept and brand of Ultimateinstability® in 2023. Now, as a co-founder of Coöperatie Groeilokaal, Paul focuses on improving integral vitality so that humans, as part of nature, can regenerate, flourish, and perform optimally together.
