Eric Nelson, DC, DACBSP graduated from Life College School of Chiropractic in 1997 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians and a Neurokinetic Therapy Instructor (NKT). Dr. Eric travels around the country and internationally to teach this technique to chiropractors, physical therapists, medical doctors, athletic trainers, performance coaches and massage therapists. He is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner and certified Graston Technique Practitioner. Dr. Eric is a credentialed Active Release Technique Ironman Provider. Recently, Dr. Eric became certified in the cutting edge technique P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex). He is currently the only PDTR certified practitioner in New Jersey. He is also Level 1 certified through the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board.
In August 2009, he was selected for a 2 week chiropractic rotation at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. Dr. Eric worked with Archery, Track & Field, BMX, Kayaking, Field Hockey, and Bobsledding Olympic athletes. Dr. Eric was named ANJC Sports Council Sports Chiropractor of the Year in 2010 and is a past president of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractic Sports Council.
Dr. Eric is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association Council on Sports Injuries and provides medical coverage for sporting events throughout the year. He was a member of the Mountain Dew Action Sports Medical Team in 2009. The Dew Tour is a nationally televised event which consists of skateboarding, BMX, and freestyle motocross competitions.
