Webinar Dr. Claire Minshull: Muscle Power or Muscle Strength? Which Is Most Important In Patient Populations?
The aim of any rehabilitation programme is to enable the patient to return to function or sports, safely, effectively and as quickly as possible. In such a demanding environment, managing the patient/athlete day-to-day without proper consideration and planning can be tempting. This can result in sub-optimal outcomes and missing the basic principles that drive neuromuscular adaptation. Muscle strength and power are important, for all populations, but which is most important, when in the rehabilitation process and how do we design the best rehabilitation to optimise adaptations? Here we cover evidenced-based strategies to help to prioritise what to focus on and when in the rehabilitation process and the fundamental principles to exercise design to achieve the outcomes that we're aiming for.
Dr. Claire Minshull is coming to Amsterdam and Groningen in the spring of 2023 and in Gent and Antwerp in the fall of 2023 to teach her Strength and Conditioning for Rehabilitation course.
